About Us

Parish Staff

Rev. Robert Simon was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Scranton by Bish-op James C. Timlin on June 30, 1990. He is a native of Plains, PA. Father Bob earned his bachelors degree from the University of Scranton and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Seton Hall University and a Master of Arts in Liturgical Theology from the University of Notre Dame. Father Bob has served as Executive Director of the Office of Parish Ministries of the Diocese of Scranton and the Diocesan Pro-Life Director. Father Bob has served many churches as Asst. Pastor as well as Pastor of St. Catherine of Siena before coming to our parish. Father Bob is happy to make the West End his home!

Rev. Edison Gregorio Arreaga Arce was assigned to our parish in March 2023. Father Greg is a native of Ecuador.  Father Greg served in Ecuador as a member of the Priest in the Passionist Community.  He studied for the priesthood at the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador.  Father Greg has been preparing for months to begin his ministry at Our Lady Queen of Peace

Deacon Bob O'Connor, Jr. was born in Jersey City, NJ on August 30th, 1952. He mar-ried Joanne on May 14, 1977 and they have 1 son, Timothy Breandon, who is married and has 2 children. Deacon Bob has been a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Par-ish since January 1992. He was ordained a Permanent Deacon on November 26, 2004. When Deacon Bob isn't assisting the parish he enjoys spending time with his Farmall Farm Tractor, traveling with Joanne, canoeing, camping, fishing, and being with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Deacon Bob lives his life loving God and Neighbor.

Deacon Joseph Rodgers was born in Paterson, NJ on August 3, 1957. He married his wife Judy on October 1, 1977 and they have 2 children, Stephanie and Joe and 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Lucy and Isabelle. Deacon Joe was ordained at the cathedral of St. Peter in Scranton on November 28th, 2015 by Bishop Joseph Bam-bera. He was first assigned to Our Lady of Victory in Tannersville and was re-assigned to Our Lady Queen of Peace in October 2016. He is involved in prison, hospital and most social concern Ministries. Living his life through the Gosptls brings him great joy and contentment to his life.
